Help to Buy is a government programme designed to help first-time home buyers. Especially buyers looking to purchase a residential property or move home. It was introduced in 2013 as an extension of the First-buy scheme. It has since been expanded and extended. Help to Buy now includes Shared Ownership, Help to Buy ISA, Help to Buy Equity Loans and Mortgage Guarantees. It’s been extended until 2020 from the original end date in 2017.
