As mentioned before, you can only purchase new-built homes developed by home builders registered to Help to Buy scheme. Unfortunately, you cannot buy a home outside of the scheme’s registered builders. You can also buy a converted non-residential property. But you cannot purchase sublet properties. While there is no limit to the size of the property or number of bedrooms allowed to the type of property, you can buy a property on the Help to Buy scheme. The value of the property should not exceed £600,000.
